Third „family reunion“ of the live-with-msa group at Lake Ammersee
It was such a familiar atmosphere again. This is as strange as it is beautiful at the annual meetings at the Bavarian Ammersee, because only some of us have met in person before, everyone else only knew each other from the fortnightly virtual regulars‘ table. Nevertheless…
„It was like a family reunion“
Gabi describes the cozy get-together over breakfast at the long table.
This time, 14 people from all over Germany and Austria made their way to Café Forster in Schondorf. In addition to MSA sufferers and their relatives or carers, they included two neurologists who are particularly involved in this rare disease and are interested in exchanging ideas: Prof. Dr. Franziska Hopfner and Dr. Alexander Bernhardt from LMU Munich Großhadern.
However, the 3-hour exchange was by no means just about dealing with the disease. There was also a lot of laughter. „And everyone agreed,“ says organizer Silvia, beaming: „Next year there will be another meeting at Ammersee.“
See you then, Gabi, Ute and Silvi
