Johanna and the honey days
Johanna Haase is a positive person full of joie de vivre. This explains why, after the initial shock, she saw the bad news of being diagnosed with MSA-P as a shot in the arm:
„Now I’m living my life. Nothing gets pushed back anymore“

She has had to give up hobbies she loves, such as fishing or collecting mushrooms, because she lacks strength and stability. A consequence of the aggressive Parkinson’s variant.
Nevertheless, she still has a lot planned: Ballooning, gliding, a cruise and a trip to Egypt. Spending as much time as possible with her loved ones is the most important thing for her. And she celebrated her 60th birthday in style. „It was the party of my life!“. Fortunately, it wasn’t one of those „honey days“, says the trained nurse. On „honey days“, everything happens in slow motion: movements, thinking, speaking. Drinking coffee takes forever: „Sometimes I think it’s going to get cold before I take my first sip.“
Johanna has retained her sense of humor, but she is not a person who closes her eyes to reality. She knows what’s coming and lives more consciously. „It’s a great feeling. You come into your own.“
